Not exactly your typical walk/run fundraiser - the Wheelchair Grand Prix showcases runners and walkers pushing wheelchairs over a Pittsburgh North Shore relay course. It is a unique, fun event that raises awareness for Variety the Children’s Charity programs, specifically the Kids on the Go! program.
Please join the Variety Young Professionals in supporting Variety the Children’s Charity as a wheeler or volunteer for our 6th Annual Wheelchair Grand Prix on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m.
We are also currently looking for corporate partnerships for sponsorships and teams for the upcoming Wheelchair Grand Prix. For more information on sponsorships please visit our site @ http://www.wheelchairgrandprix.com/ and click on the Sponsorship link on the top right corner of the page.
In the way of corporate teams, we are also looking to recruit teams of about 4-5 people to walk, run, or volunteer at the event. Previous corporate partners include: Bombardier Transportation, Pwc, Highmark, Starbucks, The University of Pittsburgh, Robert Morris University, GNC, Kennywood, and Comcast.
We hope to see you there.

Sport
offers corporate teams wonderful insights regarding leadership and
organizational development. From the pressure-packed immediacy of
winning and losing multi-million dollar opportunities on a weekly basis
to choreographing high-performing groups of talented individuals into
one cohesive unit, sport serves as a unique laboratory and proving
ground for organizational and leadership development theory and
practice. In taking a closer look at how sport and business align, Joe
Frontiera and Dan Leidl will discuss their work with Meno Consulting
(www.menoconsulting.com) and how they’ve come to blur the lines between
sport and business. In focusing on the broader goal of performance, Joe
and Dan will discuss how collaborative teams, self-awareness, and
individual leadership development can serve as a foundation for
corporate success.
